Saraburi Farm We are a safe food production source that is friendly to the community

and the environment, taking into account the standards in raising every pig of ours.

We love to make our pigs happy and disease-free. Therefore, pig disease control measures come first on the farm.

To ensure that pigs are healthy and have good meat, consumers will be confident in consuming pork from us.

Develop a pig breed production system for the farm, with the Danish breed as the basic breed, focusing on pig health in the farm to reduce drug use, to receive a chemical-free farm in the final stage, sending it to a standard slaughterhouse, and to be able to trace back the quality and be truly safe for consumers.

There is a pig feed production factory itself to select quality raw materials, inspect and screen the quality to meet the food production standards to meet the nutritional values that pigs of each age group need to receive complete nutrition and be healthy. The quality of pig production can be conveniently inspected. There is a laboratory to inspect the quality of raw materials and screen for diseases to promptly deal with disease situations.

Breeds

At Saraburi Farm, we have 3 breeds of pigs: Duroc, Lajan White, and Landrace. All 3 breeds are breeds that most farms in Thailand raise because they can be raised well in the environment of Thailand.

All pigs on our farm are Danish breeds, which have a unique characteristic of having long bodies and more ribs than other breeds. This makes (there are 13 pairs, while the normal breed has 12 pairs). We raise both 2 and 3 breeds.

2-breed pigs - The pigs that we raise for sale are male and female breeders (pure Lajan White and pure Landrace breeds are mixed together).

3-breed pigs - These are pigs that we raise for sale and consumption by taking only Duroc males and crossing them with 2 female breeds because this breed has firm meat that is not mushy, large hips, resulting in thick outer loin and long inner loin.

Duroc breed

Has reddish-brown skin and fur, small and flat ears, and is unique in that it has small bones, a lot of meat, red meat, and not thick fat. It is smart and has muscular muscles, which will make the offspring have a good structure. We use it as a breeding sire because of the breed. The male pig will have an effect on the offspring up to 60%.

Lager White breed

Has white skin and hair all over the body, erect ears. This breed has good growth and development, produces a lot of red meat, has many offspring, is good at raising offspring, is a good mother, has strong legs and hooves, is suitable for being a breeding mother.

Landrace breed

Has white skin and hair all over the body, erect ears, long body, deep body, produces a lot of offspring, is good at raising offspring, grows well, produces a lot of red meat, is suitable for being a breeding mother, but the legs are a bit small, making it easy to have problems with leg pain.

Raising

With the intention of raising pigs well and happily, we are ready to bring in various technologies to help manage the farm, or what is called Smart Farming, by building a closed house, managing air and cooling to make the pigs comfortable and free from germs with the EVAP (Evaporative Cooling System) system, which is an air conditioning process in the house using the principle of evaporative cooling from water to help reduce the temperature of the air inside the house (we let the air outside the house pass into the house through the grooves of the cooling pad or the wet water distribution pad. When the air passes through, it will release heat to the water, making the air inside the house cooler and being drained out the other side of the house).

The automatic feeding system called Auto Feed can control the amount of food according to the age of the pigs under the care of professional veterinarians and animal husbandry.

In terms of resource management on the farm, we take into account the community and the environment as the main factors. And to create sustainable management, we use the Circular Economy principle to create the least waste (Zero Waste).

Cooling Pad

EVAP cooling pads made from paper pulp. We take the expired part and grind it to be used as one of the ingredients in the soil for planting.

Pig placenta

Obtained from giving birth to a sow We use it as a liquid plant food to nourish the trees in The Vira Garden. Because the placenta is a source of various nutrients from the mother to the piglets, it is also a good nutrient for plants.

Safety

At our farm, we consider safety to be our number one priority, both for everyone and every pig. We use the Biosecurity system to manage safety at every point in the farm, as follows:

1. Entering the farm

Everyone who wants to enter the farm must enter the disinfection room. After that, they must shower, wash their hair, and change clothes that the farm has prepared, which have been ozone-treated. All items brought with them and that they want to bring into the farm must be removed for UV (food) and ozone (other items).

2. Entering the barn

For those who need to enter the pig barn, regardless of who they are, they must pass through the disinfection point where the shoes they are wearing are placed, wash their hands with disinfectant, and change their shoes to the shoes used for entering the barn only. Even the employees who regularly take care of the barn must follow this safety procedure every time they enter and exit.

3. Vehicles entering the farm

For raw material vehicles, they must enter the spray booth and leave it for 30 minutes to disinfect. This must be done at 2 points before reaching the loading area. For drivers, they must follow the farm entry measures every time.

4. The entire farm area

We have vehicles that spray disinfectant throughout the farm every day, twice a day, in the morning and evening.

5. Farm employees

For all employees We have separate houses on the farm and have 24-hour security guards. Since we have limited times for entering and leaving the farm, we have a kitchen and a convenience store for the convenience of our employees.

Standard

We believe that following the production standards and quality management in various criteria makes our organization proactive and is a constant review of our own quality. This is so that our partners and consumers can be confident in the quality of our pork.

technology

Technology plays a very important role in helping manage the farm, saving manpower to develop other areas that technology has not yet reached, and leading to better work standards.

1. Auto Feeding system is a system that helps manage the feeding of pigs from the silo, food in front of the barn into the pen, helping to reduce working time.

2. Lab room that can analyze and screen ASF disease within the farm.

3. Chlorine dioxide technology helps produce tap water for use on the farm.

4. BioAmp biotechnology is used to improve water quality.

5. Dr. Zyme biotechnology that helps eliminate odors.

We never stop. We continue to expand our business by incorporating research into our organization's development.

1. Research on pig manure in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) to produce organic fertilizers for use with agricultural crops. 2. Research on pig placenta in collaboration with the National Nanotechnology Center (NSTDA) to develop proteins extracted from pig placenta into boosters for small animals.

Social Responsibility

Every activity that takes place on the farm, we will take into account the impact on the surrounding communities and the environment. This can be seen from the management of water odor

that we have done in many places. And we will never stop looking for new ways

to help take care of it more.

We are always involved in community activities such as:

  • Food delivery project to Wat Huai Li School, Wat Nong Bua School
  • Providing rabies vaccines to communities around the farm
  • Supporting education by accepting animal husbandry students to learn on the farm
  • With the Living University project with Suranaree University of Technology, Lopburi College of Agriculture and Technology, and Mahasarakham University
  • Help support every crisis that occurs in Saraburi, such as volunteering to help take care of COVID-19 vaccinations, donating food to patients in quarantine from COVID-19

All pig manure and wash water are pushed into the Cover Lagoon system to bring the gas back to the biomass power plant for use in the closed-system EVAP house, which uses fans to draw air from the Cooling Pad panels to control the temperature to keep the pigs comfortable 24 hours a day.

There are environmental engineers who monitor the treatment system, measure ammonia, hydrogen sulfide gas, which are the causes of air pollution, and water concentration to ensure that they are within the standard level so as not to cause environmental problems to the surrounding communities.

Waste from the pig production system, including cover lagoon sludge and pig placenta, which waste disposal creates carbon, has been developed into products that reduce carbon emissions and add value to waste.

Our Activities

Check the health of pigs from

experts closely

Select quality ingredients to produce quality food.

Treat wastewater for reuse, do not release wastewater into the environment.

Laboratory for quality control of raw materials and disease screening to promptly respond to disease situations

Screening and disinfection procedures are followed before entering the vehicle into the farm.
